D. adelae

$20.00

We are offering Drosera adelae! These super sticky plants are amazing at luring and consuming fungus gnats and fruit flies. Their flowers are little red stars.

Lighting: Drosera adelae require high filtered light growing conditions. They want to be in a southern window. Drosera adelae can burn under high light conditions. We grow ours under LED grow lights that we leave on for at least 13 hours a day.

Watering: Drosera adelae need to be sitting in low mineral water at all times! Do not let them dry out, they will perish quickly.

Potting mix: The reason why carnivorous plants modified their leaves to consume insects is due to their growing conditions. They grow in very acidic and nutrient poor soil. We use a mix of peat moss and perlite for substrate.

Temperatures: Drosera adelae will thrive as an indoor plant. In some warmer southern states may be able to grow them outdoors year round as long as the temperatures ranges between 80 degrees F during the day and not dipping below 40 degrees F at night.

We will ship this plant bare root wrapped in sphagnum moss via USPS priority mail. We typically ship orders out on Tuesdays. We suggest a 72 hour heat pack for shipping during the colder months.
