D. natalensis

$15.00

We are offering Drosera natalensis! These little cuties are amazing at luring and consuming fungus gnats & fruit flies.

Lighting: Drosera natalensis require high light growing conditions. They want to be in a western or southern window. We grow ours under LED grow lights that we leave on for at least 13 hours a day.

Watering: Drosera natalensis need to be sitting in low mineral water at all times! Do not let them dry out, they will perish quickly.

Potting mix: The reason why carnivorous plants modified their leaves to consume insects is due to their growing conditions. They grow in very acidic and nutrient poor soil. We use a mix of peat moss and perlite for substrate.

Temperatures: Drosera natalensis will thrive as an indoor plant. In some warmer southern states may be able to grow them outdoors year round as long as the temperatures ranges between 90 degrees F during the day and not dipping below 40 degrees F.

We will ship this plant bare root wrapped in plastic container via USPS priority mail. We typically ship orders out on Tuesdays. We suggest a 72 hour heat pack for shipping during the colder months.
